The Analytics module offers a ready-to-use Liveboard: The Email Activities Liveboard. It is a prebuilt and interactive dashboard that combines email campaign and purchase data in one place. It is designed to provide clear, up-to-date insights into email performance without the need for manual reports or BI tools.

What's in the Email Activities Liveboard

The Email Activities Liveboard is a prebuilt dashboard. It shows key email engagement metrics such as sends, opens, clicks, bounces, subscribes, and unsubscribes. The dashboard is designed to be live and interactive, with the ability to drill down into underlying data, see automatically refreshed metrics, and apply filters for dates or groups like brand or country.

You cannot edit this Liveboard, but you can filter the data to focus on specific periods or segments. It offers a clear, at-a-glance overview of campaign performance without exports or manual work.

Widgets overview

The default widgets on the Email Activities Liveboard provide a complete picture of email performance over time. Available widgets include:

  • Daily Emails Sent: This chart shows the total number of emails sent each day. It helps you monitor campaign volume over time and understand your overall email activity. Tracking daily sends gives context to other metrics like opens and clicks, and supports more accurate performance analysis.
  • Daily Emails Opened: This chart shows the total number of times your emails were opened each day. It's a key indicator of subject line effectiveness and audience engagement. Tracking daily opens helps you understand how your audience interacts with your campaigns over time.
  • Daily Link Clicks: This chart displays the total number of clicks on links within your emails each day. This metric helps you measure the effectiveness of your email content and calls-to-action in driving traffic and conversions.
  • Daily Bounced Emails: This chart tracks the total number of emails that bounced each day. Monitoring bounces is crucial for maintaining list hygiene and deliverability, as high bounce rates can negatively impact your sender reputation.
  • Daily Open Rate: This chart shows your daily email open rate, calculated as (Total Opens / Total Sends). It's a primary metric for measuring how well your subject lines resonate with your audience and overall campaign engagement.
  • Daily Click-to-Open Rate: This chart shows the daily Click-to-Open Rate (CTOR), calculated as the total number of daily clicks divided by the total number of daily opens. This ratio is a strong indicator of content effectiveness, as it measures how compelling your call-to-action is for the audience that has already opened your emails.
  • Daily Click-Through Rate: This chart shows your daily Click-Through Rate (CTR), calculated as (Total Clicks / Total Sends). It measures the percentage of all recipients who clicked a link, giving you a broad view of your campaign's ability to drive action.
  • Daily Bounce Rate: This chart displays your daily bounce rate, which is the percentage of sent emails that could not be delivered. Monitoring this rate is essential for managing your list's health and protecting your sender reputation.
  • Campaign Performance Overview: This table provides a detailed performance breakdown of your individual email campaigns, sorted by the total number of sends. It allows for quick comparison of key metrics like Open Rate, Click-Through Rate (CTR), and Bounce Rate to identify your most (and least) successful campaigns.
  • Unique Recipients: This KPI displays the total number of unique contacts who have been sent at least one email in the selected timeframe. It represents the size of your reachable audience.
  • Weekly Subscribes vs. Unsubscribes: This chart compares the number of new subscribers to the number of unsubscribers on a weekly basis. It provides a clear view of your list growth and audience churn over time.
  • Unsubscribe to Send Rate: This KPI shows the percentage of recipients who unsubscribed from an email, calculated against the total number of emails sent. It's a critical metric for monitoring audience satisfaction and list health.
  • New Daily Subscribers: This chart shows the number of new contacts who subscribed each day. It helps you monitor the daily performance of your list growth efforts and campaigns.

Click on the Purchases tab to see:

  • Daily Purchase Revenue: This chart tracks the total revenue generated from purchases attributed to your email marketing efforts each day. It's a direct measure of the monetary value your campaigns are delivering.
  • Daily Purchase Conversions: This chart shows the total number of purchase conversions attributed to your email campaigns each day. It helps you understand the daily volume of transactions driven by your marketing activities.
  • Daily Purchase-to-Open Rate: This chart displays the daily ratio of purchases to opens, calculated as (Total Purchase Conversions / Total Opens). It shows how many purchases are generated for every email that is opened, helping you measure the direct conversion effectiveness of your content on an engaged audience.
  • Daily Purchase-to-Click Rate: This chart displays the daily ratio of purchases to clicks, calculated as (Total Purchase Conversions / Total Clicks). This metric indicates how effectively your landing pages convert the high-intent traffic driven from your emails.

Heads up

The Top Campaigns by Purchases (from Opens) and Top Campaigns by Purchases (from Clicks) widgets are controlled by the Conversion Time filter at the top of the dashboard. All other widgets on the Purchases tab use the main Date filter.

  • Top Campaigns by Purchases (from Opens): This chart ranks your campaigns based on the number of purchases attributed to an email open. It shows both the total number of conversions and the corresponding revenue. The attribution is based on the 'Attribution Window' setting at the top of the dashboard, which is set to 7 days by default.
  • Top Campaigns by Purchases (from Clicks): This chart ranks your campaigns based on the number of purchases from users who made a purchase after clicking a link in an email. It shows both the total revenue and the corresponding number of conversions. The attribution is based on the 'Attribution Window' setting at the top of the dashboard, which is set to 7 days by default.
