If you will soon get access to Spotler ID, there are several preparations you can make before adding your current Spotler Mail+ account(s) to Spotler ID via the activation email. This article guides you through these important steps to ensure a smooth migration.
Please follow these steps:
- Step 1 Ensure consistent personal email address across Spotler products
- Step 2 Multiple Mail+ logins? Link them before linking to Spotler ID
- Step 3 Prepare your username for the migration
- Step 4 Install a two-factor authentication (2FA) app
- Step 5 Bookmark the new login page
Step 1 Ensure consistent personal email address across Spotler products
If you haven’t done so yet, make sure all your existing users in your Spotler products use the same personal email address. Check your email address and make it consistent across all Spotler products you own. Use your personal email address like yourname@yourcompany.com.

➡️ Is it possible to merge different email accounts across Spotler Products?
The Spotler Marketing Cloud is person-bound and not organization-bound. This means that after logging into your Spotler Marketing Cloud, you only see the Spotler products you have access to. These do not necessarily include all products your organization has with Spotler. A colleague cannot access “your” Spotler ID; each user has their own.
Important: do not use shared email addresses!
Avoid using generic emails such as info@ or marketing@. If your colleagues do this as well, your personal Spotler IDs might get merged. This can cause issues with login, especially since login is protected by two-factor authentication linked to your personal phone. Are you at this moment sharing your user? Please change this as soon as possible. Sharing login credentials is not possible with Spotler ID.

Step 2 Multiple Mail+ logins? Link them before linking to Spotler ID
In Mail+, you used to log in with your username instead of your email address. So it is possible that you have multiple Mail+ logins. If this is the case, you can link multiple Mail+ accounts to your Spotler ID.

Step 3 Write your Mail+ username down
In Spotler Mail+ you are used to logging in with a username and password. In the Marketing Cloud, this changes: you will log in with your email address, password, and a two-factor authentication app.
During the process of adding your Spotler Mail+ account to your Spotler Marketing Cloud, you will still need your username one last time. Make sure you have it handy.

Step 4 Install a two-factor authentication (2FA) app
Already using a 2FA app?
Most users already use two-factor authentication. If so, you don’t need to prepare anything extra. You will use your existing 2FA app to add your new Spotler ID login.
Not familiar with 2FA?
If you don’t yet use 2FA, make sure to download a 2FA app. Logging in with 2FA is mandatory for Spotler ID.

Step 5 Bookmark the new login page
Once migrated, you will no longer log in through the login page you are used to. Instead, log in via the Spotler ID page. Add this page to your bookmarks now, so you don’t have to search for it after migration.
Add the new login URL to your favorites: login.spotler.cloud
Now you are fully prepared. Proceed to the step-by-step guide Add existing Mail+ account once you receive an email confirming your Mail+ account is ready to be added to the Spotler Marketing Cloud.
