In this article you will learn more about:
Tab SpotIQ
The SpotIQ tab in the Analytics module acts as an AI analyst working in the background. It collects and displays the results of previously run SpotIQ analyses. Use this tab to review insights that were generated from visualisations, compare findings over time, or reopen an analysis to explore the results further.
New SpotIQ analysis
SpotIQ enables you to run AI-driven analysis on existing visualisations. It helps explain why data has changed by identifying trends, correlations, and outliers in the selected data.
You can choose different analysis types depending on your goal, for example to detect anomalies, understand performance changes, or explore relationships between metrics. Default analysis settings can be adjusted to focus the analysis on what matters most.
Step 1 - Select the SpotIQ analyse in a visualisation
Start from a visualisation, for example a widget on a Liveboard. Open the More menu of the visualisation and select the SpotIQ option to begin an analysis.
Step 2 - Select the prefered analysis type
Depending on the visualisation, choose the analysis type that best fits your question. Available options can include forecasting, outlier detection, trend analysis, or cross correlation. For example, forecasting helps estimate future performance, while outlier analysis highlights values that deviate strongly from expected patterns.
Step 3 - Select columns
Select the columns you want SpotIQ to run the analysis on. These determine which metrics and dimensions are included in the analysis.
Click on the Analyse button to start the analysis. When the analysis is complete, the results will appear in the SpotIQ tab.
Results from SpotIQ can be saved as Answers and added to Liveboards, making them available for ongoing monitoring and reporting.
Example use cases:
- Forecasting revenue or email open rates
- Detecting outliers, such as a sudden rise in unsubscribes, and exploring possible causes
- Performing trend analysis or cross-KPI analysis
- Reviewing suggested insights that might not have been considered initially
